I do not like to give negative reviews, but sometimes it happens.It took me forever to read this book like I’d start and just stop for long periods of time until finally, I made myself read it. I felt that the book was weak in the plot and the characters. It says an adult novel and it deals with the mafia, so I had high expectations, but this missed the mark. The author did more telling of the story than showing it. It really took away from the flow and made it hard to connect with the characters.
Eve is the main character and she is 32 but has the mindset of a teenager. She was basically best friends with a 17 y/o who had more sense than her. Then there’s Nico, who is the weakest wise guy ever. The character chemistry was absent, there was no character/reader connection. It was just words on a page to me.
The unnecessary sex scenes were just, well I have no words for that.
This did not read like an adult mafia book, nor would I classify it as a romance. I’m not sure what this is, but I won’t read it again and I’m not recommending it either, but at least it was free.

I started reading and was disappointed pretty quickly. I understand that the book is written as a romance, but am I supposed to believe the main characters fall in love THAT quickly after such brief interactions? The main character immediately becomes intimate with the hero after he breaks into her home scaring her...really? The action is pretty mediocre. This one just falls short for me but maybe I will try it again another time.
This story has romance and suspense all mixed in one. Nico is trying to take down a threat and Eve is wondering why her life is mundane. I love how Eve and Nico both have to over come personal issues to be together.
Desperate woman. Took him to bed as soon as he came to her house. He came to thank her. I guess her sexless desperate arse idea of you are welcome was sex. What he did was come by every day give her pleasure and leave. I guess she fell in love with his endowment. I like the story. Did the condom break?
The premise of "Mad Mafia Love" was good, but the book quickly fizzled out. The ending was dull and anticlimactic. Hopefully, the next installment (?) will be better. This book had no cliffhanger.
Very alpha male, protective male. Loved the flow and trust that was in the plot. Good true to life story.
I chose to give this story five stars because of Nico. He is determined to keep those he loves safe and he doesn't back down. The story will appeal to readers of all genres. Eve is very hard headed, for her to be as intelligent as she is, she's easily misled by the wrong people. There are parts of the story that is confusing, " is Luca dead or not"? Did Nico and Eve get married or are they engaged? There are references made that refers to Nico as Eve's husband as well as fiancee. The storyline is good, and I am am anxiously awaiting books 2 and 3.
That is what Nico wanted for himself. He did not count on falling in love with the little shop owner Eve Morgan, and neither did she. She had to work her emotions through her love for Nicco Riccardi. She knew he was dangerous but just the thought of her life without him did not set well. Nicco never thought he would ever love again after what his father Giuseppi and brother Luca did. He knew he had to protect Eve first and foremost, and he did so they could escape and start a new life together.
Jamila wrote an interesting story that was full of action and drama. I could not figure out what would happen next. I was angry and frustrated with Eve and her desire to get out, not understanding the danger, but she soon became a ride or die chick for Nico.
